Treasure Hunt

I’m considering writing a screenplay—another National Treasure sequel. I think I’ll skip on over to National Treasure 5 or 6. Of course, by then, they’ll have started running out of items of inestimable intrinsic historic and cultural value. I guess I’ll end up writing one something like, “National Treasure 6: The Secret of the Chosen Burrito.” After all, it’s not easy to decide which combo to go with at Taco Primo.

Treasure is so often in the eye of the beholder. To me, a side of guacamole is a thing of beauty. As far as my husband is concerned, if it’s green and slimy enough to slide down the side of the burrito, it might as well be a side of pond algae.

What we treasure gets our passion, our attention, our “heart.” That’s why we have to be ultra careful what we treasure. And it’s Jesus who should always be our one true treasure.

The guacamole? Guess we’ll let that slide.
